💌 A Challenge

So this is the part of the newsletter where I provide a mindset challenge for you to focus on until my next issue. This is something I am currently working on myself.

I recently read a book called The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. In it, a young man learns about and follows his "Personal Legend." The book talks about how everyone (and everything) as a Personal Legend (or destiny, calling, reason for being, whatever you want to call it.)

The day after IO finished the book, my husband played me an episode from his favorite podcast, Hidden Brain, about cultivating your purpose.

So obviously, I've been thinking a lot about this topic. What is my Personal Legend? Have I found it? Have I missed it? Am I on the right path to accomplish it? Have I been letting fear or vice keep me from it? I have not found the answer to any of those questions.

What I do know is this: I am a thoughtful person who tries to be very cognizant of the consequences of my words and actions. I care about people and I do my best to work hard. I tip service people and I wear a mask. So who cares what my destiny is? If it's my destiny... won't I reach it anyway?

I challenge you this week to think about your purpose in life. Do you feel like you have one? Is it something you're working toward right now? If you don't feel like you have a purpose, how does that make you feel? What could you do to find or cultivate it?

So that's your challenge! I'm glad you asked!
xoxo Allie
