WCORL 2019

“Ethics on the Web Panel”

I was so honored to be asked to participate on this panel. I’m a fan of sitting around, talking about big ideas and “what-ifs”. So to be a part of a panel that discussed what our ethical responsibility is to the web as a whole was a lot of fun.

To sit with a variety of people, one of whom had been working with WordPress for years, one of whom who was fairly new to WordPress, and two who have a larger idea of the political and legal ramifications of our work, was refreshing and humbling. The main topic of discussion: whether or not WordPress should be auto-updated on all sites.

This weekend I also did a repeat of my Automation talk (slides can be found here.)
